Meet the Artist
Thank you for visiting my website. I am a wife of my high school sweetheart and a bonus mom to 2 sons and 1 daughter. A little about me, I love life and looking through my lens to see all the adventures, just in a different perspective. I love my Advocare SPARK; it defiantly keeps me energized from family to photo sessions. My photography journey began back in college in 2005 when I was introduced to the Darkroom experience from a night class. Wow, the idea of taking what you captured with this tiny machine and watching it reveal itself was very intriguing to me. So I was like, huh this sparked a little light bulb in my brain. I began taking portraits of my family and friends, more for practice. This got my creative juices flowing and I knew right at that very moment. This is a strong passion I want to pursue and continue to enhance my skills.
In the past 7 years, I have photographed several families and have made some forever friends from these sessions. I have had my experience with sports, seniors, newborn, maternity, headshots, and weddings. I love, love weddings. Sharing in that one special day with that bride & groom is breathtaking. These are moments I am so honored they choose me to capture their start of a new chapter in their lives. You want to know my favorite part of wedding photography, showing the bride & groom the first look after their big day. This is a moment; that moment I say props to you and pat myself on the back. I believe it takes a special photographer for wedding portraits, I mean you have to be prepared. There will be tears of joy followed by laughter and there maybe even a time the bride will look at you with those crazy eyes and realize, “what am I doing?” You as the photographer will be okay, just breath and know she will love you more when the “I dos” are over with.
Photography to me is like freezing time for those few seconds and capturing that one moment as if you will relive it over and over again. Portraits are keepsakes, something to show how you feel right at that time in your life. This year I will the next chapter in my art world. I will now be offering Fine Art Prints for wall art. This is an exciting path that God has put in front of me and I am very blessed to be venturing out. Now I still love my portrait photography so don’ think I have given up on you. I am just adding in a Fine Art Print stem to my creativity tree for the world to see. This is an amazing opportunity and looking forward to filling your walls with the “Simply Beautiful” Fine Art Collection.
