Today, I never thought I would be writing my own books much less published. However, 10+ years ago I had a dream. A dream that one day I wanted to tell my story to help others. I knew it would be hard, I knew it would be a challenge, but I didn’t let that stop my vision.
Here goes! Right?
TIP #1 purchase a small book and keep that by your bed, in your purse, in your car or I guess you could create a list on your phone. I prefer pen to paper to create my brainstorming journal. This allows you to write your thoughts down that come while you least expect it. Now, you get to safe keep for later. Your plan is now in motion.
“Run towards the next chapter in your life with a fierce sense of strength to
fulfill your DREAMS”
Just remember, nothing is too small or less important than the other. This is your story, so make it yours. I still at times need encouragement to complete my own story. I know hard to believe. It will come in time so let the words flow on their own terms. TIP #2 don’t let today’s criticism way you from writing your story. This allows you to be free in mapping a journey that you may be surprised once you read the finished book. I was for sure.
The first time I read the script of my new book Her Powerful Voice I cried. It was tough to reading the struggles I have been through to get where I am today was overwhelming and I sure looked at those pages in disbelief. I knew I lived it, yet to see the words describing it was just down right WOW! TIP #3 use this time to learn from those struggles. Read your final script and understand that those struggles are what made your strength. Self publish if you don’t want to use a publishing company. Use blogs to jumpstart in the meantime. Utilize the tools you have so you save money.
TIP #4 grab your favorite cup of tea, notebook and pen. It is your time to tell your story to the world.
