I am loving the opportunities for joining more exhibits. When I got a phone call to join a Veterans Art Exhibit, I was like sure. No question, right? I had butterflies my friends, complete nervous feeling and at the same time so excited. Setup day arrived for the Guns & Gowns Veterans Art Exhibit by the New Century Art Guild. Thank you to our host GritrSports, which I have never heard of till now. A must go if you love military gear. I was joined with 10 or so other artists of all mediums in hopes to collaborate with one another and share out stories. We were asked to share why art and how did art help our healing process after the military.
I learned over the years that failure can be your greatest asset in developing your own success. It is not a weakness, it is an opportunity to build something even better.
I had the privilege of interviewing with a national news crew. It was fun, but also strange. I am so used to be behind the camera and ensuring I highlight others, I forget I need to share my experiences with other women in business. We all struggle at something, this is where all my confidence to just step out there comes from. You are not alone, no one ever is.
Share your stories, no matter how small, it could guide the next to their own chapter in their own book.
I want to leave you with this, being creative is a lifestyle, it is a skill that runs deep in our heart and our soul as artists.
Never stop believing in yourself and never be afraid to fail and fail again.
